Cooking weekend in the lands of Verdicchio

Arrive in Genga. Welcome by our staff. Hotel accommodation. Lunch. In the afternoon visit to the Frasassi Caves, spectacular underground world characterized by a succession of salt, tunnels and small crystallized lakes of extraordinary beauty. The erosion of sulphurous water on the limestone rock has given rise to a huge underground kingdom, rich in stalactites and stalagmites, divided into environments with fairy-tale names: “The Cave of the Wind”, “The Giants”, “The Thirteenth Century Room”, “The Hall of Candles”, “The Hall of Infinity”… Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Short presentation of two typical dishes, followed by practical preparation. Lunch with guided tasting of local wines. In the afternoon excursion through the “Colline del Verdicchio”: Staffolo, Cupramontana, Maiolati Spontini, visit to the various wineries and possibility of buying food and wine. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the farm in Casalfarneto, producer of wine, oil, cicerchia and grappa. Inside the company there is also a naturalistic path with native and unique flora, such as the “quercus farnetto” from which the company takes its name. Lunch with tasting of products. Return to the place of origin.
