Colours hunting in the Marche Region

Upon arrival in Fabriano, you’ll have an independent visit of the medieval historic center. You can explore the Church of San Filippo, the Loggiato di San Francesco, the Church of S. Onofrio (or Holy Stairs), the main fountain known as “Sturinalto,” the Palazzo del Podestà (the oldest Gothic civil building in the Marche region), and the Cathedral of San Venanzio.
Next, we’ll depart for the small village of Cacciano, a community of about 90 people perched at 528 meters above sea level, poised between the Marche and Umbria regions. Here, you’ll find yourself in an open-air art gallery! The paintings on the facades of the village’s houses, which are added to every year, all follow a single theme: country life, its inhabitants busy with typical local tasks, and the beautiful nature and wildlife of the area. One of the most photographed works is surely the mural of Ms. Italia, a longtime resident. This 7-meter-high mural, titled “La Vergara” and created by Federico Zenobi, depicts a woman tending to her flowers. After the visit, you will be transferred to a restaurant for lunch.
We’ll then continue on to Braccano, a quiet village immersed in a valley and embraced by nature, located in the municipality of Matelica. Countless murals, created by students from the Brera, Urbino, and Macerata Academies as well as artists from around the world, have given this small village a new, enchanting, and colorful look. The most famous piece of street art is undoubtedly the Wolf, painted by the artist Massimo Melchiorri, which is located right at the entrance of the village. This is a day full of color, where you’ll have to walk with your nose in the air to find the most beautiful murals to photograph! We’ll then return to Fabriano, where our services will conclude.
