CANDLES IN CANDELARA AMONG VILLAGES AND CASTLES, A WEEKEND IN THE CHRISTMAS ATMOSPHERE

Arrival of the group in Fabriano and guided tour of Paper and Watermark Museum where historical phases of handmade paper are illustrated. At the end departure for the visit of Frasassi Caves, a spectacular underground world characterized by a succession of salt, tunnels and small crystallized lakes. Return to Fabriano and dinner with local products. Overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Mombaroccio, a village in the hills of Pesaro Urbino. Unmissable appointment with the Christmas markets. The Castle is illuminated and presents a rich market of artistic crafts, typical products, traditions, cultural and artistic events with music, lights, and colors making a truly magical atmosphere. Free lunch and transfer to Candelara for the Christmas market dedicated to candles. The village for half an hour every afternoon, will be illuminated by the light of candles: the electric light will be turned off to give space to thousands of flames, a truly evocative atmosphere. Return to Fabriano, dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Gradara. Elected capital of the Middle Ages, Gradara owes its fame to “Rocca dei Malatesta”. The tourist can still admire the walkways, the ancient “Porta dell’orologio” and inside the castle the ancient stately rooms. The “Rocca di Gradara” is the backdrop to the legendary love story of Paolo and Francesca, narrated by Dante Alighieri in one of the first canto Inferno of  “Divina Commedia”. Lunch in a typical restaurant with local products and excellent Marche wines. End of services.
